Diarmuid Fitzgerald is a poetry and prose writer. His first collection of haiku and tanka poems Thames Way was published in 2015 by Alba Publishing www.ablapublishing.com
Diarmuid wrote Thames Way when he walked along the banks of the river Thames.
He has completed the second draft of his novel An Affinity for Metal. Diarmuid is currently working on his second haiku collection called A Thousand Sparks.

Diarmuid has had haiku and tanka published in various litearary journals such as Blithe Spirit, Frogpond, Kokako, Presence and A Hundred Gourds.
​
Diarmuid has had short lyric poems published in The Stinging Fly, Cyphers, It's A Queer City: All the Same, an anthology of LGBT writing from Limerick and in Boyne Berries 21.
